Shazia Jagot


Shazia Jagot is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Centre for Medieval Literature (Odense/York), based at the University of Southern Denmark. She gained her PhD from the School of English at the University of Leicester in 2014, where she examined a range of Arabic scientific and philosophical concepts in the work of Geoffrey Chaucer, allied to late medieval literary representations of Islam.  During her PhD, she held a Junior Research Fellowship with the Council of British Research in the Levant (CBRL), based at the British Institute in Amman. Shazia has a MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and a BA in English (EU) from the University of Leicester.
